Following in Rachel Tsuna's footsteps, I found a Calvin and Hobbes comic strip that seems to encompass the viewpoint of the עמל.
He's happy and building things, and everything is great, but he can't be perfect so it's all worthless...

Pretty much encompasses the entire concept of the"Kohelet cycle" that we have seen all along. This is great. I don't think it could have been said any better than how Calvin stated it, or in any less words. This is the type of "flawed" thinking that has led all the characters in the story to be unable to find any meaning in their lives. When you start with unrealistic expectations, of course your aspirations will never be actualized. A good point for all of our Kohelet characters to pick up on.
