Last year in class I learned about Moshe’s last speach to the jewish nation before they went into Israel. The Amal’s speech was nothing like Moshe’s in any way, the only similarity is the fact that they were both of their last speeches. Moshe talked about how the nation could win over the land, he also added stuff about their accomplishments and failures. The main point of the Amal’s speech was that everything is Hevel. He had no hope for himself. The Amal believed that he tried everything, before when the Amal thought that he had the capability to get rid of injustice. The failure that he experienced was immensely difficult to go through.
Injustice was an extremely immeasurable act that people just did not understand. The Amal used to think that there was a reason to live. He thought that his goal in life was to rid the world of injustice. When he failed his final conclusion was that there was nothing to life. The Amal had this fantasy that if he got everyone to work together the whole nation than it would get rid of injustice. There is always going to be competition in this world but the Amal did not make sense of that in his mind. He didn’t understand that, he thought that if you did not have everything that G-d had he couldn’t make anything of his life.
